Communion’s Bushstock Festival 2011

Side note: if anyone knows who the featured bands are in this video, please comment or email me!

It’s no secret that I love Communion, the club night turned record label that was founded by Ben Lovett, Kevin Jones, and producer Ian Grimble. 2010 was a big year for the Communion gang, and 2011 is shaping up to be even bigger. The club night has already expanded across the UK and across the pond (to New York and Sydney, Australia), and they’ll be presenting several acts at this year’s SXSW. I am absolutely gutted (see, I can talk like a Brit!) to miss their first one-day festival, Bushstock, being held at four venues in Shepherds Bush on May 7th. The full 30-band lineup has yet to be announced, but the lovely Folk Radio UK has mentioned that Fink, the Staves, and Tom Williams & the Boat are performing. Also on FRUK is the wonderful video about Communion’s history featured above.
